Here at Marmalade we are all about the multi-functional-nality of the hurricane. However, this particular hurricane style blew away the competition. With these delicate branches that add extra detail anyone can coordinate this piece to be the focal point of their table.
The key is to use alternating heights and widths of same colored pillar candles (pillars are the fat candles, tapers are the long skinny guys) and then put some element of the season down along the base. Here you see some delicate rose-hips mixed with tawny acorns. Come the winter season it is easy just to trade out the seasonal foliage of rose-hips for some pine branches and crab apples, or shinny ornaments, glitter snow or spray painted pine cones.
This is the perfect centerpiece or accent on a coffee or side table. Also, for evening entertaining there is nothing like the warm glow of flickering candles, and for those of you with a little more time on your hands what could be better than being curled up on the couch with your loved one with the flicker of candlelight around you.
Important tip: Never use scented candles when using them as your centerpiece during dinner, yet ALWAYS use scented candles when using as a room accent.
