Is that the new Chanel watch, I think it is, I can’t be sure, would she spend THAT much on a watch???? Now you can fool them all with this fun and ‘maybe it is a Chanel’ watch. Black enamel baked over sturdy metal and just a touch of bling with rhinestones that encircle the face. As we say at Marmalade ‘always keep them guessing.”

My favorite morning shortcut is to do as much as possible the night before. I empty the dishwasher, set up the coffeepot, and lay out my clothes, Then in the morning, when I'm groggy, I can steal a couple of minutes of extra sleep without stress.
Sorry if you've got this already...I'm having a bit of trouble posting.
Here is my answer: If I know we will have an especially busy or early morning the next day I have my kids sleep in their clothes. Then they can just jump out of bed and go. Don't worry...I only do this in extreme situations!

My favorite morning shortcut is to have the kids do everything for themselves. There are five kids in my house, ages 8-14, and they call get their own breakfasts, put their dishes in the dishwasher, and make their own lunches. That way not only am I spared those chores, but they get exactly what they want without Mom making it "wrong."
My 2 yr old is the slowest eater...when I need to be somewhere in the morning I throw him in the car and I throw yogurt, fruit and milk in the blender, and he drinks his breakfast CLEANLY and QUIETLY in the backseat :)
NOT the best thing to do, so i am not recommending it but since you asked, i will share...
i do my makeup in the car at stoplights, etc. on the way to work. i have a 20 minute commute to my salon and when i arrive, i am done!

Set the coffee machine timer.
i set my clocks fast!!
i set my clocks back!
My favorite shortcut is using my crockpot in the morning, it saves me so much time during the day. It can also be set the night before with oatmeal and breakfast is ready in the morning.

Kids sleep in their clothes of course! And sweatpants and ponytail for me. Sippy cups and overly processed foods in the car and GO!
Honestly, skip the am shower (started showering at night, much more of a peaceful shower anyway), hair in pigtail, add touch of mascara, lipgloss, and GO!!!!
As I'm typing this, both sons' clothes are on the countertop by the breakfast table so that they can put them on right after breakfast. School notes are made out, non-perishable snacks are packed - the backpack is ready to go. Chocolate milk already in the sippy cup in the fridge, cheerios are out ready to be poured. Coffee is set up with extra-bold grounds (a necessity!) I'm still up early with my kids - but can relax and have my coffee with them in my pjs! emtolle@aol.com
My favorite time-saver in the morning is having everyone's clothing laid out and snacks already in the lunchboxes. I just wish that I could brush teeth and hair the night before!

before I get out of bed- I pause & put my hand on my belly & breathe in & breathe out. it's very simple. while I'm doing it I review my day. It calms me down increases the chances I start with a sense that there really is time for everything.
Since my boys are all at college now mornings are not too rushed but when all three were living at home I was a little extreme on preparing the night before. I would pack lunches while cooking dinner, have everyone bathe at night, even put things in the car to be all ready to zoom out in the AM. Now if someone is at home for the weekend or night I tape a note the front door to remind them to take all their stuff. That saves me from having to go to the post office to overnight something!
the kids shower at night
i set the rice cooker for oatmeal to be ready by breakfast
tea and toast are easy
everyone packs their bags the night before and we're out the door!
