I'm going to make a blanket statement here, and I don't think I'm far off. Yesterday in the store, every person I worked with was in complete holiday denial mode. Everyone is still just coming off Halloween and just beginning to look towards Thanksgiving, but lurking less than one week after that is the start of Hanukkah. Can you believe it?! And then a mere 24 days after that is Christmas. It's frightening actually. Am I getting old, or is the calendar just moving faster, maybe it's just that I'm in retail? I'm not sure exactly what it is but I know I'm not alone in feeling like this year the holidays are looming as opposed to being anticipated. But you know what? It is what it is, so let's shake off our denial and slight curmudgeoness and get with the holiday spirit. Come on, at least there will be cocktails, right, and a little time off work? But then you balance that with in-laws and the pressure of getting the perfect gift and yikes we're right back to that looming, curmudgeony feeling. Oh well, can't help you much on the in-laws front, but I definitely can help you out in the perfect gift category. So, don't worry, we've got you covered this year for the oh-so-early Hanukkah season, here's a little sampling.
